A 2016 fibre installation surveyed, supplied, installed and certified around a live production environment.
Starting point
Growth in Hyve Solutions Europe’s production operation was placing greater demands on the supporting network. The business needed additional capacity and a route for later expansion, but installation work could not be allowed to disrupt the live manufacturing environment.
Capacity inside a live factory
The constraint sat inside a working production facility, so the route and delivery plan had to respect both the existing network and the production schedule. The fibre needed to reach the right operational areas and provide capacity beyond the immediate bottleneck, without the installation becoming a new source of delay.
Installing around production
BNR surveyed the existing network and physical environment before work began. The team supplied and installed the fibre and associated equipment outside production hours, then terminated, tested and certified the completed links. That sequence kept technical assurance and operational planning within the same delivery responsibility.
Certified links, no interruption
Every installed fibre link passed testing and certification. The work finished to the agreed programme without interrupting live production, increased available network capacity and went on to support further production growth. Hyve also provided positive feedback on the project.

Relevant BNR capability today
BNR continues to survey and deliver network infrastructure around the operating environment it must support. Similar work can combine fibre or structured cabling, installation planning, testing and handover without treating the physical network as an isolated purchase.
